Young women stop chasing men who only want you for your curves.
Who beat on you,
And try to sooth your pain with a designer purse.
Stop believing that he loves you,
So he slaps you because he is hurt by the things you do.
I know you might believe it but it simply isn’t true.
Stop thinking that if you become more silent things will change.
Don’t become so use to mistreatment that self love is strange.
That you become okay with only forging bonds that he arrange.
Young women stop spreading yourself so thin,
Stop believing it is okay to accept his boundaries because of his insecurities.
Insecurities born from what some other female did.
Young women stop thinking that a pretty face is all you have to offer.
That it’s okay to spread your legs to fix the problems you encounter.
Stop believing in men who say they loves you but takes you for granted.
Who says they need you but treat you like you are unwanted.
Stop thinking that because you aren’t chased,
You aren’t great.
That a mortal man controls your faith.
Young women stop thinking that you are incomplete without your weave,
That you aren’t gorgeous if your eyebrows aren’t on fleek.
That it’s smart to accept a man who is a cheat,
If he ensures you have Giuseppes on your feet.
Young women your tears are priceless.
Be careful of the things in which you invest.
Understand that when you are in your essence,
You are at your best.
That dysfunctional relationships does nothing,
But make you a mess.
Young women you are strong regardless of where you came from.
You are a gift to man from God,
To be treated with gentleness and held in high regard,
They are not your superior,
He alone couldn’t be a creator,
Therefore don’t allow them to make you feel inferior.
Remember that your happiness should be infinite,
That without you, there would be no life.
Young women walk in your purpose,
Being your best should be your focus.
Don’t be mislead by the notion,
That you can be measured by a numeric equation.
That you are only beautiful if you are a bellow a size sixteen,
That you are only worthy of adoration if you look like the girls in the magazines.
Stop believing that you are defined by wither or not,
You can afford to wear labels on your back.
That if you are goal oriented,
Then that means you are wack.
Don’t believe you must follow the latest trends to be cool.
That because everyone is buying a body you need to buy one too.
Stop thinking that being called a bitch is cute.
That you should accept it happily and remain mute.
Dear Young Women
Your uniqueness is your greatest strength,
You should never be afraid to be different.
Don’t allow you well to be bent.
You are not defined by how you look - but what you do.
Remember that even when you make sacrifices to yourself you must remain true.
Don’t allow anyone to kill your self-esteem.
Regardless of the size of your waist or the color of you skin you are a QUEEN.
